City Water Hook-up 101

5/20/21   We have been advised that this cost may have dramatically changed  in the past few months. One new resident said he was quoted $7,000 and another over $6,000!!

If you are interested in hooking up to city water, here is the information you need: The department at OUC is Developmental Services and the person is Linda Julio (407) 236-9651. . Anyway, the hookup, assuming you use a 5/8 inch meter (which everyone, so far, has done), to the OUC side is about $3,000 and then you have to pay a plumber to hook it to your house. 1 1/4″ (or 1 1/2″) line to the house (if it’s a long way), seems to do the trick – but ask your plumber. Residents who have hooked up seem to be pleased.
